Valuable cost savings can be made with this unique product developed by NICO DUIN, which you can extend as much as you like. Using this simple construction method of tubes, designed in an “A”-frame, it is possible to hang the pneumatic cramps in any vertical position, when assembling your products. The “A”-frame can also be used on both sides (see photo) and the pneumatic cramps independently from the frame, e.g. on a workbench.
How does this ingenious design work? Compressed air is first passed through a reduction valve which includes an air pressure gauge, enabling the operator to control precisely the air pressure that is required. From here the air passes to the top tube of the “A”-frame, which acts as an air reservoir, before being channelled to the individual cylinders. In this way the operator can be sure that the correct pressure always will be applied to the pressure plate cramping the assembled product. The minimal heart-distance between two serre-joints is 160 mm. The serre-joints can also be used without the frame, for example on a trestle or work-bench.
The frame is manufactured in kit form for an easy delivery and can be ordered to the size required for your product. It is constructed in solid tubular steel and can be quickly assembled (in maximum 1 hour) by anyone following the clearly explained instructions.
The serre-joints consist of:
The counter clamps are attached to the frame to hold the assembled product absolutely flat, while the glue is drying. Number to place at choice. Suitable for any panel-width to 1300 mm and any panel-thickness to approx. 80 mm.
As a variation to the ‘Hang-on frame cramp system’ with the “A”-frame that can be used on two sides (see reverse) we can manufacture a rotating frame with four sides. With this frame it is possible to hang on as many cramps per side as you require to suit your specific cramping task. It is available in two standard sizes, which have the following maximum working capacities:
The dimensions shown in brackets represent the maximum wood size that can be cramped if the assembly work is allowed to protrude slightly form the frame. The minimum distance permissible between any two cramps on any one surface is 160 mm. Another important feature of this piece of equipment is that the pneumatic cramps can be used independently, without the frame for example on a trestle or work-bench.
The frame, which has four sides, is constructed of strong galvanised tubular steel with aluminium couplings. The central post of the frame which acts as the air reservoir, rotates on a highly stable stand. The manifold, to which the air tubes from the cylinders are connected, is attached to the top of the central post (i.e. the air reservoir), thus rotating with both the main frame and the central reservoir. To facilitate further the easy operation of this equipment, the air pressure gauge including the reduction valve is anchored in a clearly visible position on the central stand. Other designs, for example a frame with 6 sides and revolving by an electric motor are also possible.
